Long Term Care can be provided in many settings including nursing homes, your own home, assisted living facilities and adult day care. Due to advances in modern medicine people are living longer but may not live near children that can help care for them in their golden years.
Benefits are paid for individuals that cannot perform certain activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). Some examples of the activities include:
- Getting out of bed
- Bathing
- Using the toilet
- Getting dressed
- Feeding yourself
