Enrollment:
There are several election periods with difference purposes when it comes to enrolling or adjusting your benefits:
- Initial Enrollment Period (IEP): When you are first eligible for Medicare, usually around your 65th birthday.
- Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): happens every year from October 15 to December 7 – this is when you can make changes to your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans.
- Special Enrollment Period (SEP): For qualifying life events such as moving, losing employer coverage, or other significant changes
- General Enrollment Period (GEP): From January 1 to March 31 each year, for those who missed their initial enrollment.
